Baliโs Beach Preservation Efforts Aim to Restore Kuta to Its Former Glory
Leaders responsible for Baliโs most iconic beaches have acknowledged the urgent need for improvement, with Kuta Beach now a major focus. Once one of the islandโs most famous coastal destinations, Kuta has faced challenges in recent years due to coastal abrasion, seasonal tides of plastic waste, and storm damage โ conditions that have affected its appeal for both tourists and locals.
To address these issues, the government has begun taking concrete steps. This year, the River Basin Office added sand to widen the beach as an initial measure to mitigate abrasion. Conservation efforts will continue into 2026 and beyond, including sand refilling and the construction of a pedestrian path stretching from Tuban to Pererenan in Canggu.
Regent Arnawa also stressed the need to regulate beach vendors and maintain public spaces to ensure visitor comfort. Cleanup teams will remain on standby during the rainy season, ready to tackle tidal debris so beaches stay clean and enjoyable.
As a beachfront resort located directly on South Kuta Beach, Bali Garden Beach Resort fully supports these revitalization efforts. With ongoing improvements, guests can look forward to an even more beautiful and well-maintained coastline โ making every stay by the sea more enjoyable than ever.
